Alberta Children's Hospital Fonds
Brickburn House, or the Soldiers’ Children’s Home, as it was also known, operated from 1920 to 1922 in leased buildings west of what is now Wildwood in Calgary. It was funded by the Junior Red Cross Sick Children’s Fund

The Junior Red Cross Children’s Hospital opened in 1922, and was run by the Alberta Division of the Canadian Red Cross until 1958. It was renamed the Red Cross Crippled Children’s Hospital in 1949 and the Alberta Red Cross Crippled Children’s Hospital in 1951.In 1958, when its administration was transferred to the Alberta Crippled Children’s Hospital Society, the hospital’s name was changed to the Alberta Crippled Children’s Hospital.

Both names changed again in 1959, to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Society and the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

In 1972 administration was transferred to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Board, responsible to the Provincial Government. In 1981 it was renamed the Alberta Children’s Hospital Child Health Centre. An alternate name from 1972 to the present has been the Alberta Children’s Provincial General Hospital.
