  1. What can I expect from the Volunteer Resources Department?

o         We will be able to offer you a volunteer program that is well managed and ensures volunteers will work in a supportive environment.

o         We will offer every volunteer a thorough orientation and training.

o         We will provide you with a detailed volunteer assignment guide that will clearly outlines your volunteer role.

o         We will recognize you for your contributions and accomplishments in both formal and informal ways.

At the Rock, you will find an environment where there is open communication, a sense of teamwork and respect for diversity between volunteers and staff.

 

 

2.  What does the Volunteer Resources Department expect of me?

o         You will participate in orientation, training and any ongoing development opportunities

o         You will work within the boundaries of your volunteer assignment guide

o         You will act as an ambassador of the Rockyview and will take ownership for actions and decisions made while volunteering.

o         You will approach your volunteer assignment as a professional commitment.

 

At the end of your shift, you will go home knowing that you made a significant difference for our patients, families and staff and that your generous donation of time and energy was very much appreciated.

3.     What’s great about volunteering at the Rock?
