Another boring summer? Not at the Rockyview General Hospital! This summer you can get some valuable experience and make a difference at the same time – does it get any better than that?

This summer, Volunteer Resources will be accepting applications from students
(18 years +) who are able to:

• attend a 2.5 hour hospital orientation on Thursday, May 7th, 6:00 – 8:30 pm

• make a commitment to volunteer in our Emergency program a minimum of one-4 hour shift per week, continuously from the beginning of May to the end of August.

We will be fast-tracking your applications so, please read the following application process carefully.

• Prepare a letter of introduction and tell us why you want to volunteer at Rockyview
• Attach a copy of your resume – include both paid and volunteer work history and your contact information

When we have received and reviewed the applications, successful applicants will be notified and will be booked for an interview.

Interviews will be conducted May 4, 5 & 6.  Please bring the following to the interview:

• Two pieces of ID – Driver’s license and Health card – for a criminal records check.  If Calgary is not your home, please bring a vulnerable sector criminal record check from the area that you reside.
• Immunization records for 2 doses of MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) – a copy of immunization records in Calgary may be obtained by calling the central office @ 214-3641.
• Two reference letters – envelope should be sealed with signature over flap.

Please note:  In order to provide you with an excellent experience, we want to get you started ASAP.  It is essential that you bring the above documents to the interview. These documents take some time to prepare so,please get started now. Without them, your application will be viewed as incomplete.

General hospital orientation will be on Thursday, May 7, 6:00-8:30 pm.

Specific program training will also be arranged with our hospital staff or experienced volunteers
