Acute Care is responsible for the day to day operation of programs and services at four hospital sites: Alberta Children's Hospital,Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Hospital and Rockyview General Hospital.

On an average day, Acute Care Services delivers 32 babies, performs 166 surgeries, and sees 670 patients in emergency. Our people will treat nearly 2,300 ambulatory care patients, discharge 195 adult patients and 21 children, and perform over 12,250 diagnostic procedures.
